Fenway Park Panoramic
Ahhh…the unofficial start of summer is here…kicks off every year around Memorial Day. This year I impulsively booked a trip to a city that I have always wanted to visit – Boston. JetBlue was offering a deal I could not refuse!
It wasn’t going to be a trip to Boston without a trip to the oldest Major League ballpark in the country – Fenway Park. Unfortunately, the Red Sox were playing in Detroit, but I did get to tour the ballpark. I love baseball games and being in a stadium like this is just awesome. As I was sitting there taking this place in, I heard this older lady tell her husband, “Can’t you take one of those panoramic photos!?” And the little light bulb went off…so here is a panoramic view of Fenway Park (I don’t know why I don’t think of taking more panaramics more often). Higher res version is here.
I should point out my autofocus on my Tamron 17-50mm was not working at all, so I shot this using manual focus (I don’t recommend keeping your sunglasses on, as I did for many of my shots, because it doesn’t make for the crispest of photos :/). I also auto-bracketed my exposure (-1,0,+1), combined the photos and then stitched them together in Photoshop. I probably could have angled my camera down more, but being that this is a guided tour, you’ve gotta move along quite quickly.
